Band biography

The Inchtabokatables were founded on February 7th 1991 in the Berlin Bärenschenke. It is said the name is Australian slang and it should mean as much as "payement dodgers". The special thing about the band was its formation: two violins, a cello, a bass guitar and a drum, but no guitars.

In 2002, after eleven years on stage, the band announced they were going to take a well deserved (eleven year?) pause.

- "Merry Christmas/X-mas in the old man's hat", 1995
- "Ultra", 1994
- "Quiet", 1997

- "Too Loud", 1998
- "Nine Inch Years - best of", 2000

The first album mainly consisted of Folk-rock music, the second and third were Folk-fiddle, the fourth and fifth were industrial. The switch to industrial was probably caused by the switch of bass players: Moeh used to play in an industrial band named T.A.S.S. Their sixth and last studio album was redorded under a new record label, and can't be compared with any others.

:bulletgreen: The Inchtabokatables were part of Rammstein's support act at the concerts in San Francisco and Los Angeles in 1999.
